History / Inspiration

Mexican sugar skulls are a traditional way to honor the spirits of the departed. This sugar skull design was made with reverence for all of the Raiders seasons behind us, and for all of the games that are yet to come. In particular, it recognizes the late Al Davis, quite possibly the scariest sports overlord of all time.

It honors some of the fiercest fans in the history of football, and a town that turns into a sea of black when the Autumn wind blows in. As Hunter S. Thompson (a Raiders fan till his dying day) once wrote, "The massive Raider Nation is beyond doubt the sleaziest and rudest and most sinister mob of thugs and wackos ever assembled." And we all know he meant that as a compliment.

From the Black Hole of the Coliseum to stadiums around the nation, when you don the silver and black, you commit to excellence. Wear it the only way you know how: with pride and poise.
