Kevin Blackburn often flies a drone around Oakland, taking photos of some of the most iconic buildings, parks, and statues in the Town. And he's pretty good at what he does. He's got some awesome views of the Mountain View Cemetery, Oracle Arena and our beloved Lake Merritt. On top of that, his photos have been featured by major publications and for major event coverage -- including the NBA Finals! The only thing better than photos, are photos with stories. King James’ Time as an Oakland Soldier

In the summer of 2001, Shrek was being shown at local theaters including Grand Lake Theatre, the one in Jack London Square, or at the old Century theatre in Emeryville -- before Bay Street opened. The A's were the underdog champs of the year, and their fans got just as much coverage as the players. As a result, Oakland taught the world how to Bernie Lean. This tank rol.....

For A’s fans, it’s payback time

It has been six years since the A's have last been to the playoffs, and on Monday night they did the unexpected and clinched their sixteenth playoff berth in Oakland. The celebration didn't end there for the team. On Tuesday night they tied the Texas Rangers for first place of the AL West and then Wednesday afternoon, in front of a crowd of more than 36,000, they took sole possession of the division. It hasn't always been easy being an A's fan, watching our favorite players traded away or lost .....
