For the past four years, the Robert C. Maynard Institute and the Oakland Tribune have been running a program focused on getting Oaklanders to tell their story, and this year they’re back at it! Oakland Voices is a nine-month fellowship that gives the creative types out there a platform and the skills to tell their stories about this Town we call home.
Inside Bay Area, Oakland Tribune’s parent publication, put out this tweet on Monday informing residents of East Oakland about the fellowship. The application deadline is July 2nd! We know it’s rapidly approaching, but if you know of anyone who might be interested, send them a link to this post!
Oh, and it might motivate them to know that the fellowship comes with a $1,000.00 stipend.
