This past weekend, a heatwave hit The Town! Temperatures topped 80 degrees, and stayed warm during the evening on Sunday night. And it looks like this flash of summer will last all week.
The A’s are in the middle of a six game home stand. The guys in green and gold won in a wonderful fashion on Saturday night, as Stephen Vogt hit a game winner in the 10th inning. And then the A’s came back on Sunday and hit five home runs to beat the Twins 14-1. Taking two out of three from the Twinkies over the weekend.

On Sunday night, a man died in East Oakland after being pursued by police. The incident is still under investigation.
The Oakland Museum of California hosted a discussion with activists, community leaders and members of the Black Panther Party, in preparation for an upcoming Black Panther exhibit. More to come on this.
Governor Brown and a number of Bay Area mayors, including San Francisco’s Mayor Lee and San Jose’s Mayor Liccardo, are currently in Vatican City meeting with Pope Francis to discuss climate change.
