Digital Underground x Oaklandish 2025

We’re excited to announce our collaboration with the multi-platinum hip-hop group Digital Underground. Known for their unique style, funky beats, humor, and playful creativity, Digital Underground played a pivotal role in putting Oakland on the map in the late 80s and early 90s. The group originated in Oakland, and its long-standing members included Money B and the late Shock-G. 

This exclusive collection, created in partnership with Oaklandish, draws design inspiration from some of the group's most notable hits, including "Underwater Rimes," "The Humpty Dance," and "Doowutchyalike." Money B explains the essence of "Doowutchyalike": "There's always been great diversity in Oakland and the entire Bay Area. Everyone had the freedom to do what they liked, when they liked, and how they liked!" Beyond their platinum hits, Digital Underground also played a part in introducing the world to Tupac Shakur and pioneered a uniquely Oakland approach to hip-hop that balanced excellent musical talent with an unapologetic sense of fun. The group’s artistic freedom and boundary-pushing creativity embodied the independent spirit of The Town.

These designs pay tribute to Digital Underground's enduring legacy and deep Oakland roots—a testament to a group that demonstrated Oakland's musical innovation as truly unique. We are honored to collaborate with Money B, and DU Merch to present this collection of t-shirts, with each design representing a piece of Oakland music history that continues to influence artists and delight fans worldwide.
