Easy to Remember: Clinics Tee

February 2025 marks Black History Month, and BPPALN in partnership with Oaklandish presents ‘Easy to Remember’ - a new series of designs by renowned graphic artist.

The title is inspired by a song from the legendary John Coltrane, and nods towards recognizing and remembering the true legacy of the Black Panther Party: the creation of enduring, lasting community survival programs that serve the people, instead of the sensationalized public perception of the Party tarnished by the government and their controlled media.

#3 Clinics - The Black Panthers created the George Jackson Health Clinic - the first free medical clinic for low-income and marginalized communities. The clinic provided free health services, including sickle cell testing, and became a model for free clinics in other American cities. Remember the Clinics, not just the Fists is a call to action to focus on the efforts and time we can spend to improve livelihoods through direct community service, and not just rallying and protesting online, or on the streets.
