Rooted in Chinatown: Asian Health Services Tee

The t-shirt design draws inspiration from Oakland Chinatown and features significant landmarks, such as the iconic junk boat at Lincoln Square Park and the former Silver Dragon Restaurant, now home to AHS’s Rolland and Kathryn Lowe Medical Center. The brightly patterned pedestrian scrambles, introduced in 2002 as part of AHS's safety campaign, are also depicted.

Additionally, the benevolent green dragon represents Wilma Chan Park, a gathering for AHS's protests and community events. The design highlights local small businesses that are vital to the community.  Flanking the landmarks include waves, which pays homage to AHS’ long standing wave logo—a symbol of the waves of immigration bringing families and refugees across the Pacific Ocean during the 20th century.

A portion of proceeds will support Asian Health Services’ medical, dental, behavioral health care and community programs including the Community Healing Unit and food distributions.
